這個短語我們經常看到的是在以下這個句型中使用

wouldn't be caught dead doing sth

【英英釋義】

it means someone would never do the thing being discussed； would be horribly ashamed or embarrassed to do something。

在什麼語境下用這個短語呢：

就是當你特別特別不喜歡某件事，覺得做這件事非常丟人、尷尬、沒面子的時候用這個短語。

【例】

I wouldn‘t be caught dead wearing a dress like that。 It’s like something my grandma would wear！我絕不可能穿這個裙子，這不是老太太們才會穿的嘛。

I wouldn‘t be caught dead working for that company。 我絕不會選擇去那家公司上班。
