英語“倍數”的表達法

1. A+V+倍數詞+as+adj/adv(原級)+as+B.

“A 是B 的多少倍。”

This line is four times as long as that one。

這條線是那條線的四倍長。

She studies three times as hard as I。

她用功的程度是我的三倍。

2. A+V+倍數詞+the+名詞（size; length; height......)+of+B.

“A 是B 的（大小；長度；高度......的）多少倍。”

Line A is four times the length of line B。

線條 A 是線條 B 的四倍長。

This hill is four times the height of that small one．

這座山的高度是那座小山的四倍。

3. A+V+倍數詞+adj/adv(比較級）+than + B.

"A比B大（長、高、寬等）多少倍”

This street is three times wider than that one。

這條街比那條街寬三倍。

The car runs twice faster than that truck。

這輛小車的速度比那輛卡車快兩倍。

*要用名詞表示“量”的倍數時，則用以下兩個句型：

1. “ ...times as many/much+名詞+as+被比物件”.

There is four times as much water in this pot as in that one。

這個壺裡裝的水是那個壺裡的四倍。

There are six times as many students as we expected。學生數量是我們預期的六倍。

2. “ ...times+more+名詞（可數或不可數）+than+被比物件”.

There are five times more books in our library than in yours。

我們圖書館裡的書比你們圖書館多五倍多。

We have produced twice more grain this year than we did last year。

我們今年生產的糧食比去年多兩倍。
